The Brief

Design a meal application to swiftly assist users in discovering nutritious recipes tailored to their preferred nutritional focus, such as macronutrients (carbohydrates, proteins, fats). The app should facilitate the creation of future weekly meal plans while providing insights into the anticipated nutrition derived from these recipes.

Many people struggle to consistently maintain a nutritious diet, facing challenges such as busy schedules, time limitations, and insufficient understanding of nutrition and healthy eating habits.

My Vision

On the Phone

Create a comprehensive and user-friendly tool that empowers users to make healthy choices and improve their overall well-being through convenient and personalized meal planning and preparation.

Problem Statement

  • "The target user, college students, face challenges in maintaining healthy eating habits due to their busy schedules, time limitations, and limited understanding of nutrition. They require a user-friendly application to assist them in learning about the nutritional content of meals beforehand, planning their weekly meals, and effortlessly visualizing their dietary intake solutions."
The Design Question  
  • How does the meal app display nutritional information about each meal, including calories, carbohydrates, protein, and fat, in a clear and user-friendly manner? This allows individuals to make informed decisions about their meals based on their dietary goals and requirements.

Next Steps

  • User Testing

Analyze the feedback received from users during testing. Prioritize and categorize the feedback to understand the most critical aspects that require attention.

  • Iteration

Based on the feedback analysis, iterate on the prototype. Make necessary adjustments, refinements, and enhancements to address identified issues or improve the overall user experience with the meal app.

Reflection

This individual design project, crafted using the Figma platform, encompasses an interactive application.

It provided a valuable opportunity to incorporate horizontal and vertical scrolling features, enhancing user engagement and navigation.

Moreover, this project effectively applies graphic design principles in developing the interactive app, ensuring a visually appealing and cohesive user experience. I enjoyed working on this project.
